Jeremy Tyler

Jeremy Tyler is the 6'11 250 lb kid who opted not to finish his senior year of high school to play professional basketball. Since when did quitting high school to play basketball professionally overseas become an option? I don't like the idea of not finishing college but not finishing high school! So of course he goes to Israel and does horribly, both professionally and personally, he was only 17!!! Now, after wasting a year he's coming home to San Diego. Stop chasing money people, stop trying to get rich quick, sports organizations need to stop throwing money at these kids, by nature they are emotionally immature and have no idea how to handle these situations. I don't know where his parents were in all this, but obviously they didn't offer too much in the way of good advice because at 17 he needed parental consent. Do your kids a favor parents, make them finish high school, go to college then go professional. This kid had offers from USC, UCLA, Louisville and I'm sure many, many more. Now he's returning home, I hope he takes this time to really clear his head and revaluate things before the NBA comes rushing in with buckets of money. He needs a good education before he needs a crib, tricked out rides and groupies.
